Quran Memorization (Hifz) Course
“Indeed, We have sent down the Reminder (the Quran), and indeed, We will be its guardian.”
(Surah Al-Hijr 15:9)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)
Memorizing the Quran is one of the greatest acts of worship and a lifelong honor that brings a person closer to Allah.
Our Quran Memorization (Hifz) Course helps students preserve the Book of Allah in their hearts while living by its teachings in their daily lives.
Assessment & Placement
Every student begins with an initial assessment to evaluate their current level of Quran reading, Tajweed, and memorization (if any).
Based on the assessment results, each learner is placed in the appropriate starting point — whether in the Quran Reading & Tajweed Course (for beginners) or directly in the Quran Memorization (Hifz) Course for those who already read fluently with correct pronunciation.
This ensures that every student starts at the right level, with a solid foundation and a clear plan for progress.
Important Prerequisite
Before beginning Quran memorization, students must be able to read the Quran correctly and fluently with proper Tajweed and without mistakes.
Accurate recitation is the foundation of successful memorization — therefore, all learners are first assessed to ensure they can read properly.
If a student is not yet proficient in Quran reading or Tajweed, they will first be required to enroll in the Quran Recitation & Tajweed Course.
After successfully completing at least the first level of the Tajweed course and demonstrating accurate recitation, the student will then be eligible to join the Quran Memorization (Hifz) Course.
About the Course
The Quran Memorization (Hifz) Course is a comprehensive program designed to help students memorize the Holy Quran with precision, reflection, and devotion. Guided by qualified Quran teachers, students follow a structured memorization plan that focuses on accuracy, Tajweed, and consistent revision to ensure long-term retention.
This course aims not only to help students commit the Quran to memory but also to nurture a deep spiritual connection with its meanings and values.
Course Objectives
- To enable students to memorize the Quran completely or partially according to their ability.
- To develop strong memorization and recitation skills with proper Tajweed.
- To establish a consistent revision routine that strengthens retention and fluency.
- To inspire love for the Quran and understanding of its message.
- To help students embody the morals and teachings of the Quran in their daily lives.
Course Levels
The program is structured into progressive memorization levels to suit learners of all ages and abilities:
- Short Surahs Level – Memorization of short chapters from Juz ‘Amma and selected surahs for beginners.
- Juz ‘Amma Level (30th Juz) – Complete memorization of the last part of the Quran.
- Quarter of the Quran (¼ Hifz) – Memorization of approximately 7–8 Juz’.
- Half of the Quran (½ Hifz) – Memorization of 15 Juz’ from different sections of the Quran.
- Twenty Juz’ Level (⅔ Hifz) – Memorization of two-thirds of the Quran.
- Three-Quarter Quran Level (¾ Hifz) – Memorization of around 22–23 Juz’.
- Full Quran Memorization (Complete Hifz) – Memorization of all 30 Juz’ with full revision and certification.
- Custom Level – Option to memorize selected Juz’ or Surahs based on personal goals or preferences.
Memorization & Revision Method
Each student follows a balanced plan that includes both new memorization (new lesson) and revision of previous portions (old lesson).
Revision is an essential part of the program and is divided into two main types:
- Recent Revision (Short-term revision): Reviewing the most recently memorized pages or surahs to ensure fluency and accuracy.
- Past Revision (Long-term revision): Revisiting earlier memorized portions from previous weeks or months to strengthen retention and prevent forgetting.
This structured approach ensures that the student continues to progress steadily while maintaining strong command over previously memorized parts.
Assessment & Certification
To ensure quality and consistency, students undergo regular assessments throughout the program.
- After the completion of every half Juz’ (approximately 10 pages), students must take a memorization test to evaluate accuracy, fluency, and Tajweed application.
- Those who successfully pass the test receive a certificate of achievement for that section, recognizing their progress and dedication.
- Upon completing each major level, students receive official certificates confirming their accomplishment in Quran memorization.
This evaluation system motivates learners, tracks their progress, and ensures that memorization is firm and accurate.
