Islamic Creed Course

Course Overview

This course provides a comprehensive study of the Islamic Creed (Aqidah), helping students understand and strengthen the foundations of their faith. It focuses on the Six Pillars of Iman — belief in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and Divine Decree.
The program highlights the importance of Tawheed (the Oneness of Allah), clarifies misconceptions, and guides students to differentiate between authentic Islamic beliefs and innovations or false ideologies.

The Foundation Level

• Tawheed (Oneness of Allah): Understanding Allah’s Lordship, Worship, and His Beautiful Names and Attributes.
• Belief in Angels, Scriptures, and Messengers: Learning about their nature, roles, and impact on a Muslim’s life.
• Belief in the Last Day: Studying the signs of the Hour, resurrection, judgment, Paradise, and Hellfire.
• Belief in Divine Decree (Qadar): Understanding the correct concept of destiny and addressing related misconceptions.

Essential Topics Level

• Nullifiers of Faith: Recognizing what takes a person out of Islam and the conditions related to it.
• Types of Shirk (Polytheism): Identifying different forms of shirk and their rulings.
• Tawassul and Shrines: Studying the correct rulings on intercession and visiting graves or shrines.
• Faith and Disbelief: Understanding the conditions and limits of declaring someone a disbeliever.
• Companions and Ahl al-Bayt: Learning the correct creed regarding the Prophet’s Companions and his family, and refuting false beliefs.

Advanced Topics Level

• Innovations and the Khawarij: Recognizing religious innovations, their consequences, and understanding the fitnah of the Khawarij.
• Hypocrisy (Nifaq): Understanding its dangers and its effects on faith.
• Connection Between Creed and Sharia: Realizing how correct belief influences actions and behavior.
• Moderation and Balance: Emphasizing the middle path and balance in matters of faith.
